Today I have a quick hack to share with you that will help you make a quick $25.
It’s pretty simple: If you sign up for a Capital One 360 bank account using this link, you will get $25 after you deposit $250.
Yes, it really is that simple!
The only downside is the fact that it does take approximately 10 days for the $25 to become available. It also (obviously) takes some time to link your old checking/savings account and transfer the $250 over.
Overall though this can be completed in less than 30 minutes, which means you are theoretically making $50/hour.
Not bad if you ask me!
While this hack may not be new, I signed up for a Capital One 360 bank account after reading my friend Liz Peterson’s guest post How to Afford Travel without Credit Cards. Doing these little “hacks” can add up, and that’s the focus of her post.
This isn’t the only way to make some extra money in your free time. There is actually a ton of opportunity to make a few extra dollars here and there. There’s Qmee, Swagbucks, and a number of others were highlighted in our recent post 7 Websites & Apps for Making Easy Extra Side Cash.

I love CapitalOne 360. We just switched over to their banking completely and haven’t looked back!

Nice! I still have accounts at two other banks (yikes that’s a lot of banks), but they seem to have a really solid product. I would consider switching for sure.

I love 360! I actually already had it when it was called Ing Direct wayyyy back in the day and thought it was awesome back then. That is seriously a good deal though – what an easy way to make some cash!
David Carlson says
Yeah I am definitely familiar with ING Direct! It’s a nice way to make a little extra cash – very little effort involved.

It’s great to see the incentives you can receive from credit card companies. If you are already planning and signing up for a credit card why not sign up for one that gives you bonuses. Thank you for sharing!
David Carlson says
This is actually for a checking or savings account, NOT a credit card. Lots of incentives for credit cards, too!
Paige @ Live, Laugh, Budget says
So many banks offer a bonus just for signing up and depositing money. We were switching our accounts around after we bought our house and ended up with an extra $5o0. From what I’ve heard, Capital One savings accounts usually have pretty good interest rates.
David Carlson says
Wow an extra $500 would be nice! I’ve been meaning to do some research and make a comprehensive list of incentives. More to come, I guess : )

I’ve had Capital One 360 for about 10 years now when they were still ING Direct. I have liked them and they are still my primary online savings bank.
