Happy Friday everyone!
Merry Christmas! It’s been a great week. I’ve been on PTO for over a week and I’m getting way more sleep than I usually do.
Besides that I’ve also had a couple of family Christmases, went to a few parties for various reasons (birthday, graduation, housewarming), and went to an out-of-town bachelor party.
One thing I learned is this: going to family Christmas the day after a bachelor party is a bad idea.
I also learned this: going to family Christmas after getting only four hours of sleep is a bad idea.
I’m surprised just how little work I’ve done on the blog during my PTO. I know I will probably be kicking myself when I’m back at work and my PTO is exhausted, but for whatever reason I’ve felt extremely lazy recently. We all need a break, though, right?
I’m looking forward to another slower week next week with the New Year’s holiday.
That’s what’s going on in my world, let me know in the comments what you’re up to!
Below are the posts we published this week:
- On Monday I shared the 5 Best Travel Reward Credit Cards for 2015

Glad to hear you’re enjoying all of your time off! We had a pretty cozy and lazy Christmas too. It’s nice to sleep late and just generally relax (and eat cookies!). Thank you so much for including my frugal Christmas post–I really appreciate it!

I find that the more time I have off, the less well I utilize it, haha

Thanks for the mention DC, I appreciate it. I’ve found the same thing to be true when I have more time, which is probably a good thing as I normally don’t take much time off throughout the year. Have a great weekend!

brokeandbeau Haha I must not be alone! When I’m busy I am usually really productive and I always think about how much I could do if I had some time off. Well…I have some time off but I’m not getting things done!

Thank you for including my post!! We had a wonderful Christmas celebration that unfortunately ended yesterday with viruses for both me and my son. We are both thankfully on the mend today and looking forward to ringing in the New Year healthy!

blonde_finance No problem! I’ve been sick for almost a week now : / Not sure what the culprit is yet, but will go into a second doctor tomorrow morning. Here’s to a quick recovery for all of us!
