Videos form a vital role in social media marketing. They are some of the easiest to share, and they are the most likely to go viral as opposed to other forms of social media like tweets, posts, articles, memes, and even images. While videos are more likely to go viral, they aren’t guaranteed.
You can increase the chances of your marketing videos going viral for your eCommerce store by following these strategies.
Share Items Yourself
One of the best ways to encourage people to share your videos is to share other people’s videos. Often times, eCommerce stores tend to assume that they just need to provide the content and rely on other people to share it. However, you can strongly increase the likelihood of sharing if your eCommerce store’s social media profiles share content as well. It indicates that you are participating in the social media world and not just trying to get people to make purchases. It doesn’t matter whether you share informational videos on how to handle PagSeguro or humorous clips of what not to do. You can increase the chances of others sharing your content just by sharing other complementary videos.
Ask People to Share
If you ask nicely, you may be surprised to find that a lot of your customers and followers are willing to share your videos. You don’t want to send out a blanket request. Instead, it works best if you ask individual people. Tell them how it will benefit them. It goes a long way when you reach out individually. You can use a base form message, but you will get much farther if you customize it for each person or business you contact. People are more likely to respond to an individual favor than a blanket request because their refusal will be more noticed.
Partner Up with Complementary Services
It probably isn’t a good idea to partner up with similar services and sharing their content. After all, they are your competitors. However, you can partner up with complementary services and form a partnership. You need to make sure that you share the same target market or sufficiently similar target markets, and that your businesses do not compete directly. This way you can both share one another’s content and help to build up relationships between the two different groups. You may also be able to offer different deals and corresponding options that you would not otherwise have.
Send It to Targeted Professionals
If you have particularly good content, then you may be able to reach out directly to the bloggers who target your market. Make sure that you explain how the video appeals to their audience. Good bloggers receive lots of requests on a regular basis, and they generally don’t want to help with spam. You need to keep your pitch short and to the point while at the same time demonstrating the value to the readers. Be very careful to avoid the appearance of spam. Otherwise, your messages will never get through.
