Well it’s certainly been an interesting week. The temperature got pretty hot here all of a sudden (just a day or two after we had a snowstorm, I might add) and everyone was happy that Winter was finally behind us. But no…it snowed again this week! It’s now May and it’s still snowing. I know I’ve complained about the weather quite a bit, but this is simply unreal. I couldn’t be more ready for the Summer (I think we missed Spring)…I think most people in Minnesota and other parts of the Midwest would agree.
This weekend I actually have quite a bit going on. Besides working on the site, I will also be digging up our yard to put in a bonfire pit, as well as hopefully getting started on our garden. I first have to remove a massive weed/plant/growth that is in the yard (honestly no idea what it is or why anyone would want it), and then start planning out the dimensions of the garden so I can buy the wood for it. Hopefully we can get it built and everything planted before the end of May.
Forgot to mention I’m also going out tonight for a friend’s birthday! Definitely excited to get out and take a break from the daily (and nightly) grind.

I hear ya on the weather DC! We were at 85 on Monday and 80 on Tuesday, then Thursday night…2 inches of freaking snow! It’s May for the love of Pete! :) I think we missed Spring altogether and it should be interesting to see what the Summer is going to be like. Sounds like you have a nice weekend planned. My wife and I will be going to the Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting tomorrow and we also need to buy a new mattress this weekend.

Excellent list of giveaways! I am starting to recognize some of those bloggers too, and spending time entering some of these.
It feels like it has been a very long winter, doesn’t it? We are meant to go into the 70’s for the next 4 days and then drop back down next week. This happens every year and a ton of people will start planting their gardens this weekend only to be covered in heavy snow again in a few weeks. I always wait until June. :-)

Haha that’s terrible that people will start too early! I’m just hoping to “build” the garden this month (we are going with raised beds). I’ll let you know how it goes.

We haven’t had snow in a few weeks, but the wind has been terrible Every soccer game this spring has been awful and all the parents kind of sit on the sidelines all hunkered over, trying to stay warm. Here’s hoping for spring to finally get here and stick around.
Eyesonthedollar Haha very funny about all the parents being bundled up – how do you think the players feel?!? But yeah today should FINALLY begin the warm-up…hopefully permanently here.
