To all our readers, Happy Thanksgiving!
I will be participating in two Thanksgiving meals this year. Today with my side of the family and tomorrow with my wife’s side of the family. We did two Thanksgivings a couple years ago and it can be a bit tiring. it’s hard to complain, though, when all you have to do is show up and someone else is hosting. It’ll be fun to see all the relatives that you see only at holidays
I’m excited (and blessed) to have a four-day weekend. I realize that many people do not have time off for Thanksgiving and many will be working today, tomorrow, and throughout the weekend. If you do have to work, I hope you still find some time to relax.
We’ll be taking the day off from our regular blog work today, but it doesn’t mean we will skimp on our Friday posts. Tomorrow we will have THREE posts:
- Giveaway Roundup Post – We’ll have our regular Friday giveaway roundup post including all the giveaways ending tomorrow (11/29) through next Thursday (12/5).
- A new cash giveaway – We will be announcing a new cash giveaway that starts tomorrow. This is in addition to our $1,100 Cash Giveaway that ends on December 15th.
- Weekly Roundup Post – Our regular weekly roundup post will be up with a roundup of our posts from the week, posts that we enjoyed throughout the web, and some personal thoughts and updates.
If you’re looking to get some reading in today, here are some popular posts from the archives:
- Black Friday Haul – Last year I participated in Black Friday. I documented what I bought and whether it was worth it or not in this post.
- 20 Ideas for New Year’s Resolutions – Believe it or not it’s almost time to make New Year’s resolutions. As someone who is big on setting goals I have already started to think about what I want to accomplish in 2014. In this post we have 20 ideas to help you make your resolutions.
- 5 things that are more important than money – Money isn’t everything. In this post I shared 5 things that are more important than benjamins.
- 5 Benefits of Working from Home One of my long-term goals is to work from home full-time. I highlight the benefits of working from home in this post.
- How to Manage and Prioritize Your Time Better – Feel like you never have enough time to finish everything? You’re not alone. In this post I discuss strategies for managing and prioritizing your time better.
How are you celebrating Thanksgiving? Do you have any Thanksgiving day traditions??

colormefrugal That sounds like a relaxing Thanksgiving today (minus the cold)! I am a big fan of switching the day you celebrate holidays to accommodate family members. I hope your cold goes away!

Hope you had a happy Thanksgiving DC! I don’t have any traditions. I went over to a friend’s family’s house.

We doubled up on the Thanksgiving meals ourselves, and we started a new tradition in my house.. The annual family ping pong tournament!! It was a blast, but I didn’t win :)
