Full Disclosure: I was compensated by Cub Foods for this post
If there is anything I love about Cub Foods, it’s the coupons they offer each week. If you take advantage of them you can save a ton of money on your bill. Every Sunday we get the newspaper and check Cub’s weekly ad to see what coupons and deals are being offered for the following week. Better yet, consider visiting Carrie Rocha’s site Pocket Your Dollars where Carrie makes a “shopping list” of the best deals being offered for the following week.
For example, a couple weeks ago we stopped into Cub armed with our shopping list and weekly ad (which is also available in the store, in case you do not receive the newspaper). We essentially only bought things that we had coupons for. One such deal was corn for .19 cents a piece. This was over 50% off the regular price.
You may not be interested in couponing, but Cub makes it easy. They usually label products that have coupons. This makes it easy because you can easily rip out the coupon while you are shopping if you come across an item you were planning on buying anyway.
When it was all said and done, we saved 48% off our bill. Don’e believe me? See the pic below for proof:
The bottom line: check Cub for weekly coupons and save money! If you haven’t checked out Cub Foods yet, I’d recommend giving it a try. At the very least you can buy a few things there each week and save money

Wow – we don’t have cub foods in the UK, but a 48% saving figure is certainly eye catching!!

I’ve heard a lot about Cub foods on the coupon forums. Wish there was one in the NYC area, but then I guess the deals wouldn’t be as good.

StudentDebtSurvivor I’ve heard NYC is a tough place as far as couponing goes.

I’ve never been much of a couponer, but this sounds like a great deal.

Matt @ Mom and Dad Money It’s nice that you can just eyeball the coupons when you get to the store and see if you can save a few bucks. Very little effort!
